Swan and Dolphin Resort

A Walt Disney World Resort construction project has reached an incredibly important milestone! The additional tower being added to Disney’s Swan and Dolphin resort has reached its highest point 14 stories up.

The topping off was commemorated with a steel beam being raised with a tree and an American flag and installed on the 14th floor. The celebration was also graced with the unveiling of the building’s new name. Previously known as the Cove, this new tower will now be called The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve.

“As we advanced with the project on construction, marketing and operations, we decided The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve was a better fit,” said the newly appointed area general manager for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Sean Verney. “We feel this name represents the boutique, sophisticated and relaxing ambiance the hotel will provide guests.”

Once complete, the Swan Reserve will add 394 more rooms to the Mariott-owned property. They include two presidential suites, 149 spacious suites designed for families or 6-8 with floor to ceiling windows, and a glamourous top-floor even area designed for galas and weddings with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide fantastic views of both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

“The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will be a great fit with our existing resort,” said Verney. “The additional suites, intimate environment and absolutely unforgettable magical views are sure to resonate with our guests.”

The Swan Reserve tower was also designed with business in mind. The 149 suites offer a collaboration space for executives and groups of up to 20 with comfortable conference-style seating, a private bathroom, and a built-in breakroom, as well as access to two 65-inch monitors. Once open, the Swan and Dolphin Resort will be able to offer 2,600 rooms and 355,000 square feet of combined meeting space.

With ground broken in 2018, Swan Reserve is scheduled to open in the summer of 2021. Walt Disney World Resort Guests staying in the Swan Reserve will have access to the rest of the Swan and Dolphin resort including its 18 restaurants and lounges, 4 signature restaurants, its five pools and Mandara Spa, and special Disney benefits.
