‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Coming Soon to Disney+

in Movies, Movies & TV

Disney+ has been seeing quite a bit of new titles added to their collection recently. While some of the movies that have been added are more mature content related, the addition of The Fault in Our Stars brings a different feel to audiences. On September 25, 2020 you can enjoy this film on Disney’s streaming service.

Based on the book The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene, IMDB states what the movie is about:

Hazel and Augustus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that Hazel’s other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they meet and fall in love at a cancer support group.

This new addition to Disney+ will provide a new teenage melodrama that will provide something for the youth to watch. It gives a sense of adventure, of love, of loss, and of reading while still providing a cohesive story that pulls at your heartstrings.

This movie currently has an overall rating of 7.7/10 on IMDB and one reviewer shared the following:

This film is quite moving, as evidenced by a quote within the first few minutes:

Hazel Grace Lancaster: “I believe we have a choice in this world about how to tell sad stories. On the one hand, you can sugarcoat it the way they do in movies and romance novels, where beautiful people learn beautiful lessons, where nothing is too messed up that can’t be fixed with an apology and a Peter Gabriel song. I like that version as much as the next girl, believe me. It’s just not the truth. This is the truth. Sorry.”

Those who love this movie believe it’s an amazing watch and a great addition to Disney+ as it will give fans of the book (and fans of the movie) another chance to watch this adaptation of the New York Times Best Seller book.
