This ‘Loophole’ Still Lets You Park Hop at Disney World

in Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort has implemented the Disney Park Pass reservation system ever since the theme parks opened in mid-July. And while this reservation system limits capacity, it has also virtually eliminated park hopping.

From what we’ve heard from Disney Parks, Experiences and Products chairman Josh D’Amaro, the reservation system won’t be going away anytime soon. But what does that mean for park hopping? Will Guests have to wait at least a whole year before they can visit more than one Disney Park in a single day?

Upon first glance on the Disney World website, given the suspension of park hopping, you’d probably think that it will be nearly impossible to attempt the “four parks in one day” challenge for the next year or so. Don’t worry — there is a way around this, but it’s going to cost you.

A VIP tour is essentially a “loophole” when it comes to park hopping right now. Thanks to Kristi at the Kingdom Insider, we’ve realized that park hopping is definitely possible at Disney World…as long as you’re willing to pay for a VIP tour. If you are, then you can ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in the morning, head to EPCOT for some Food & Wine festival fun in the afternoon, experience Kilimanjaro Safaris at Dusk, and treat yourself to dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table…all in one day, thanks to your private VIP tour guide.

A private VIP tour can range in price from $425 to $750 per hour, depending on the season (valid park admission is required for each park visited on tour and is not included in the price of the tour), and up to 10 people are allowed with each tour guide. However, you do not need to worry about the Disney World reservation system preventing you from park hopping, because as long as you have valid admission with your ticket or annual pass, you can park hop as much as you want with your private VIP tour guide.

Disney Park Pass is required for your park entry, but you can still visit multiple theme parks after your initial visit. That means you can get a Disney Park Pass reservation for Magic Kingdom, and your VIP tour guide can take you anywhere you want on Disney World property after that.
