Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has filed a UCC Financial Statement with the State of Florida. This protects the debt owed to it by the operators of its Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT‘s World Showcase, Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant, LLC.
According to National Information Services, Inc., Disney filed an “initial financing statement. An official form which contains the names and addresses of the debtor and secured party and a description of the collateral. A creditor files a Financing Statement to provide public notice of a security interest for the purpose of perfecting the interest.”

In other words, Disney has loaned the pavilion operator money. Now, the exact amount owed to Disney is not made clear in the filing. However, the document does list all collateral owed put up by the LLC, which includes:
“All goods, inventory, the Furnishings, and all other items of personal property belonging to Debtor which are or may be put into the Facilities and all proceeds of the foregoing. ‘Furnishings’ means all inventory, furnishings, furniture, supplies, equipment and other items of personalty required or desired by Debtor for the sponsorship and operation of the Facilities. Facilities’ means all restaurants, cafes, quick service restaurants, retail areas, concession areas, kiosks, hostess stands, back-of-house areas, storage areas, office areas and any other areas upon which Debtor conducts business located at the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot Theme Park.
It is also unclear how long Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant, LLC. will have to pay-off its loan to Disney.
Disney employees several third-party businesses and talent throughout its World Showcase at EPCOT. Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant, LLC. manages three restaurants and five shops. For restaurants, the Morocco Pavilion has offered Spice Road Table, Tangerine Cafe, and Restaurant Marrakesh.
However, at this time, only the Spice Road Table waterfront restaurant and bar is open according to the My Disney Experience App. For shops, Guests can enjoy Souk-al-Magrab, The Brass Bazaar, Casablanca Carpets, Tangier Traders, and Marketplace in the Medina. All shops are currently open.
Morocco also has a special kiosk in-place for the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.
