Yesterday we reported that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, one of the most popular rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios inside Walt Disney World, was closed all day after a wicked storm hit Walt Disney World.
People on social media speculated that the excessive lightning from the storm struck a generator and that may be the cause of the ride’s extended downtime. However, nothing is for certain and Disney has not yet released a statement regarding the excessive downtime of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or if it was related to lightning damage at all.
But this morning, it looks as though Disney World has reopened the popular attraction at Galaxy’s Edge!
If you look at My Disney Experience, under the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance page, no where does it say “temporarily closed” like it did yesterday.
And if you go to the virtual queue tab, Disney states that the 10am boarding group distribution is already completed.
