Many people are looking forward to the sequels to AvatarĀ as its been 11 year since the first film was released. The crew is hard at work as they continue to make progress on the first of the upcoming sequels, Avatar 2.
One of the most eager includes producer Jon Landau as he is working on the film alongside director James Cameron currently in New Zealand. Many of the details as been keep under wraps — Until now.

Landau posted these photos of the set to his Instagram page with the caption “WIDE SHOT: Our High Camp Bio Lab set on stages in New Zealand. SECOND SHOT: Jim studying the set before filming. A salute to the Kiwi crew for their attention to the artistry of their crafts.”

As we previously mentioned, there aren’t many known details about the upcoming films except for what Landau recently said during an interview with RNZ:
This is the story of the Sully family and what one does to keep their family together. Jake and Neytiri have a family in this movie, they are forced to leave their home, they go out and explore the different regions of Pandora, including spending quite a bit of time on the water, around the water, in the water.

It has been a total of 11 years since James Cameronās first film of the series titled Avatar was released. This first film still remains theĀ highest-grossing film of all time. Right now, Walt Disney Studios and 20th Centuryās Avatar series theatrical release schedule is as follows:
- Avatar 2 on December 17, 2021
- Avatar 3 on December 22, 2023
- Avatar 4 on December 19, 2025
- Avatar 5Ā on December 17, 2027.
Avatar 2Ā is set to star Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, and Trinity Bliss.
