Outside dining at Walt Disney World

With Walt Disney World reopening comes a new set of challenges for anyone wanting to eat at the theme parks. Outside dining is going to become much more of preferred option for many Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, so we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites from the theme parks to get you started.

The Magic Kingdom

Considering we’re also including places to grab takeout and enjoy your food outside on this list we’d highly suggest checking out the following locations:

  • Aloha Isle
  • Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
  • Main Street Bakery
  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Storybook Treats
  • Sunshine Tree Terrace

While there are sadly no full sit-down locations currently opening at the Magic Kingdom that allow for alfresco dining, Pecos Bill and Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe at least give some fantastic quick service options for those who feel safer outside.

Cosmic Rays, in particular, offers a huge selection of outside seating that is also covered, allowing for shelter from the sun and summer downpours that happen on a regular basis in Orlando.

As for snacks, you can’t go wrong with any of the others on the list though for us we can’t start a day in the park without a stop at the Main Street Bakery to grab a Starbucks and something sweet. There’s plenty of outside seating at the end of Main Street.

Fans of the famous Dole Whip will also be pleased to hear that Aloha Isle is open and offers a few seating areas and places to stand outside to enjoy one of the most popular treats in Walt Disney World.

EPCOT

As we look at Walt Disney World’s second park, it is also a park with far more options when it comes to fine dining and quick service. Here are the locations where eating outside is an option:

  • Choza de Margarita
  • Crepes des Chefs de France
  • Fife & Drum Tavern
  • Gelati
  • Joy of Tea
  • Kabuki Café
  • Katsura Grill
  • L’Artisan des Glaces
  • La Cantina de San Angel
  • La Hacienda de San Angel
  • Refreshment Outpost
  • Refreshment Port
  • Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue
  • Rose & Crown Dining Room
  • Spice Road Table
  • Sunshine Seasons
  • Tangierine Café

The great news for EPCOT is that there are a few table service restaurant options for those that want to enjoy a full meal outside. Katsura Grill, La Hacienda de San Angel, Spice Road Table, and Rose & Crown Dining Room all give great options for a meal outside.

There’s also a huge range of quick service and snack locations to enjoy outside. Keep in mind that while many of these locations don’t have dedicated seating areas, EPCOT has so many outdoor spaces to enjoy that we kept them on the list.

With the reopening of EPCOT also comes the International Food & Wine Festival where you can enjoy a taste of the world all from the comfort of being out in the fresh air.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While Disney’s Hollywood Studios does have a few locations to enjoy something to eat outside, the selection is certainly a lot less than EPCOT. Here’s the list:

  • Anaheim Produce
  • Backlot Express
  • BaseLine Tap House
  • Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
  • Peevy’s Polar Pipeline
  • PizzeRizzo
  • Ronto Roasters
  • Rosie’s All-American Café
  • Sunshine Day Bar
  • The Trolley Car Café

BaseLine Tap House is up there on our list of recommendations here as you can grab yourself a lovely beer while also enjoying some of the best snacks in the park. The location also has a fantastic outdoor seating area that is lovely to sit and enjoy a drink in on a hot day.

Many of the other locations here are quick service/snack locations with limited outdoor seating but with crowds so low, there will be plenty of places to sit for the foreseeable future.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Our last theme park on the list is also one of the first locations opening up to guests. There’s quite a good selection of locations that offer outdoor seating at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as you will see below:

  • Anandapur Ice Cream Truck
  • Creature Comforts
  • Dawa Bar
  • Dino-Bite Snacks
  • Flame Tree Barbecue
  • Harambe Fruit Market
  • Isle of Java
  • Mr. Kamal’s
  • Nomad Lounge
  • Pongu Pongu
  • Restaurantosaurus
  • Satu’li Canteen
  • Tamu Tamu Refreshments
  • Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks
  • Trilo-Bites
  • Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe

Flame Tree Barbecue and Yak & Yeti offer some of the best quick service food on property and also have plenty of outdoor seating available for those looking to eat in the sunshine. Even locations like Creature Comforts (Starbucks) and the Dawa Bar have a few outdoor seats available.
