Cast Members who work at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels are being called back to work on June 14, as Disney World prepares to continue its phased reopening.

The latest development in Disney World reopening comes from one of the unions representing Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members — Unite Here Local 737 — which posted to their Facebook page this evening. Local 737 is “the Union of hotel & restaurant workers at Disney, the Hilton Buena Vista Palace, Doubletree Universal, Patina Restaurant Group, Palmas Services & Centerplate,” as stated on the official Orlando Hotel and Restaurant Workers Movement Facebook page.

The union stated that workers (at locations including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney Springs, Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort) are being called to resume work on June 14.

Because Disney Springs already began its phased reopening, and because Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and several Disney Vacation Club resorts will begin to reopen in June, it makes sense for these Cast Members to be returning to work in less than two weeks.

However, keep in mind that the information in this article only represents a list of the locations where the Cast Members represented by the Unite Here Local 737 union are getting called back to work. We do not yet know the full list of dining locations that will be opening once these DVC resorts reopen. We will be sure to update our website when we know more information and when Disney shares its press release.

Good news! Today Disney started calling workers back to work. Workers at the locations listed here are being called to start work on June 14. We do not have any more information at this time. As soon as we do, we will post it here.

In terms of Disney’s official statement on Disney World Resort hotels reopening, the official website still says the following message:

Additionally, Disney Vacation Club properties at Walt Disney World and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will begin to reopen to Members and Guests on June 22. Disney Vacation Club properties in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head, South Carolina, will open on June 15. Disney Springs has already begun to reopen. Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort Hotels, restaurants and other offerings may be modified, limited in capacity and subject to availability or closure.

We will update Inside the Magic with more information as it is released.
