A few months ago, the Inside the Magic team decided to rank their favorite Walt Disney World and Disneyland attractions. Spoiler alert — Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World won!
But now let’s go to the opposite side of the spectrum and take a look at some of the least favorite and least popular attractions in Walt Disney World only. These results are based on a Reddit thread from Disney fans, not on Inside the Magic’s rankings.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Na’vi River Journey
This mystical riverboat ride located in Pandora — The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the most commented about rides on the Reddit thread from Disney fans. Though absolutely stunning, the dark ride overall seems very short and not worth the extremely long wait it typically has. “It’s over way too quickly and not a great deal happens,” one Reddit user said.
Another Reddit user explained how the views are extremely pretty, but all of a sudden it just ends — “It pretty the first time you ride it, thinking it will be about the same length as Pirates, or even The Grand Fiesta Tour… then it just ends and you’re left wondering where the rest of the ride went.”
One fan simply just stated “It really is disappointing” while another also compares the attraction to Pirates of the Caribbean but not in a good way saying “I remember when it was first announced they likened it to Pirates of the Caribbean which really got me (and likely several other people) intrigued, but I suppose space/budget/other constraints determined it was not to be.”
It’s Tough To Be a Bug
The other attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom that is getting some negativity is It’s Tough To Be A Bug, located inside the Tree of Life. One user commenting “I really do not care for Its Tough to be a Bug, Country Bear Jamboree or any of the Dumbo style attractions.”
Another user writing “Second this and it’s DEFINITELY not because I get scared during the wasp scene. I mean it’s a kids ride right!? Not scary at all.”
Magic Kingdom
Tomorrowland Speedway
Heading on over to Magic Kingdom, one of the most commenting about rides was the Tomorrowland Speedway located in Tomorrowland. “There is no magic there. I get it is a nostalgic ride, but it’s a wide open and bland space with no mystique to it. Reminds me of every other type of ride from local/smaller amusement parks. The amount of land it takes up could be used to transform the ride into something great. Maybe a ‘kid’ version of Tron where the kids get to pilot lightcycles in a futuristic atmosphere,” one user comments.
Another user made a suggestion stating “Still think Tesla needs to sponsor a complete revamp of the ride. . . That way it can get a modern overhaul, gets rid of those fumes, cuts down on carbon footprint a little, gets more fun (EV acceleration is soo much fun), and better looks.”
On the other hand, on user said even back in the day, they did not care for this ride — “I’ve been going to Disney since it opened when I was a little kid. Tomorrowland speedway kind of sucked even back then. No nostalgia from me.”
Astro Orbiter
Staying in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, another attraction getting a lot of negative feedback is The Astro Orbiter. “The Astro orbiter I honestly just forget it’s there,” one user wrote.
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Moving into Adventureland of Magic Kingdom, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin got a lot of negative attention due to its similarity to Dumbo. “Carpets of Aladdin, basically a dumbo reskin. I like to see a little more originality,” one user wrote.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Alien Swirling Saucers
This is one of the newest attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it clearly became a huge disappointment for many. One user wrote on Reddit “Alien Swirling Saucers is the obvious pick, it feels like a cheap carnival ride next to everything else around it.”
