We’re all ready to go back “home.” Many of us at Inside the Magic and you reading this are Annual Passholders, as we hold the magic of Walt Disney World (and Disney culture in general) very close to our hearts.
As Walt Disney World wakes up and begins to recharge the monorails, a very important Passholder email has been sent to current Annual Passholders. Walt Disney World announced in this notice that there will be a Passholder preview opportunity to access the magic. There are no other details of when this will be, or at what Disney Park, but we are looking forward to it nonetheless.
Passholder Preview Email
The Passholder Email was sent to some Passholders late evening on May 29th while it was sent to others in the wee hours of the night on May 30th, 2020 and per the usual, stems from Disney Destinations. The details in the email read,
Dear Valued Passholder,
In case you missed it, this week we shared some big news about Walt Disney World Resort, including plans to welcome Guests back to the Theme Parks as part of a phased reopening beginning July 11.
We truly can’t wait to welcome our Passholders back! And we will do it with a great deal of thought. As we reopen, our phased approach will be a deliberate one with limits on attendance and density controls that align with expert guidance.
And so, to foster recommended physical distancing during this unprecedented time, we will soon be introducing a new Park reservation system and requiring all our Guests to make advance reservations for their Park visits.
We’ve put together some of the details of what this new system will mean to Passholders on our website. So please take the time to read this important update.
We truly value the role our Passholders play in making the Walt Disney World Resort experience so magical. And as our re-opening progresses, we are planning a special Passholder preview opportunity to access the magic.
Look for more information on reservations and this special Passholder preview to arrive soon. And in the meantime, thank you for your patience during this time—and thank you for being one of our cherished Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. – Walt Disney World Resort
It is also important to keep in mind that Disney recently announced that once Walt Disney World Resort does reopen, an annual pass will not guarantee park entry.
As we all work to finalize our plans to walk down Main Street, U.S.A., we need to remember there will be challenges ahead. Soon, we will know about the Reservation System that is looming in the future. Dining reservations and FP+ have already been cleared from the calendar, and social distancing will need to be remembered.
But if Prince Phillip can slay the Dragon amongst the brambles, we think we can take this challenge head-on with bravery and excitement. chEARS to the magic!
