As Walt Disney World Resort theme parks prepare for reopening this July, Disneyland Resort has begun surveying guests about the reopening of the Southern California theme parks.
Disney started emailing select annual passholders about Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopening. They asked APs to fill out a survey that included questions pertaining to their comfort level of returning to the Disneyland Resort theme parks, when they will feel comfortable returning to their normal routines, what days of the week they are more likely to visit the parks, and more.
Keep in mind that so far this survey has only been emailed to select annual passholders who seem to be chosen at random (for example, not all annual passholders on the Inside the Magic team have received this reopening survey).
Some of the questions touched on health and safety protocol (not unlike what will be implemented at the Walt Disney World Resorts theme parks when they reopen in mid-July). Guests were asked about how likely they would be to visit the theme parks if certain operational changes were to occur. As you can see in the screenshots shared in the following Tweet, guests were asked how comfortable they would be visiting the Disney theme parks if certain changes were to occur between operations and guests.
Just took a Disneyland survey about park reopening. It seems they're focusing on the issue of masks.
Option 1: mandatory for all guests
Option 2: mandatory for only adults
Option 3: encouraged but not mandatory. pic.twitter.com/A9WZHHngFz

The survey sent to Disneyland Resort annual passholders is similar to surveys emailed to Disney World and Disney Springs guests. It’s clear that Disney wants to gauge not only the public opinion, but moreover the opinions of the most frequent Disneyland Resort visitors (i.e. annual passholders, who represent a majority of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure guests) before reopening.
This isn’t the only recent indication of what Disneyland Resort may look like when it reopens. Recently, Disney updated the official Disneyland website to share more information about what operations may be like when the theme parks reopen.
Upon reopening, certain Disneyland Resort theme parks, hotels, restaurants and other locations may be limited in capacity and subject to the restricted availability or even closure based on guidance from health experts and government officials. Furthermore, certain attractions, experiences, services, and amenities will be modified, have limited availability, or remain closed. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed. We will provide more information as it becomes available. We reserve the right to cancel any reservations, admission media, or purchases and provide applicable refunds.
At the time of this article’s publication, Disneyland Resort has not yet announced a reopening date for Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park, Downtown Disney, or the three on-site hotels. The state of California has announced that Disneyland Resort is allowed to reopen in a matter of weeks, although Disney has not yet revealed whether they plan to open the California theme parks sooner or later this year.
