Following the recent announcement of the reopening of Disney Springs on May 20th, the dining reservation booking platform, OpenTable, is now showing availability for select restaurants for that date and beyond.
Reservation availability appears to be receiving updates in real-time. When we searched OpenTable earlier today, the only Disney Springs restaurant showing availability was Wine Bar George. Upon rechecking, we are seeing availability for additional restaurants such as STK starting May 20th and beyond.
Disney’s reservation platform, My Disney Experience, however, is not showing any availability prior to June first, which coincides with the earliest date they are still allowing guests to book room and package reservations.
It appears these third-party booking sites will be adding more restaurants and times earlier than My Disney Experience, so if you’re hoping to lock in a dining reservation once Disney Springs re-opens, be sure to browse on OpenTable.com.
Currently, the official word from Disney is that Disney Springs will be opening with limited guest capacity and only third-party retailers will be opening their doors on May 20th. Disney-owned businesses like World of Disney among others will remain closed for the time being.
The re-opening will follow the Reopen Florida Task Force sanitation and safety guidelines closely which include having hand sanitizer at every table, employees wearing face masks, temperature checks for staff prior to shifts, doors to be wiped regularly, seated tables six feet apart to encourage social distancing, and more.
