As Universal continues to operate CityWalk at the Universal Orlando Resort, it was the turn of Orlando Mayor Budder Dyer to visit the resort after the reopening to get an idea on the new measures being introduced.

He had this to say on the approach that the Universal Orlando Resort has taken to keep guests safe at the resort:
I’m extremely impressed, they’ve put a lot of thought and detail into it. All the social distancing and hygiene precautions that you can think of, so I think I would feel very safe in going to Universal or CityWalk.

So far Universal has done a fantastic job at easing guests back into the resort with the opening of CityWalk. It appears that most guests are sticking to the rules of keeping masks on at all times (apart from when eating) and socially distancing themselves from guests, not in the same household.

Although many of you won’t of heard of the Orlando Mayor, the likelihood is that you’ve heard his voice in the past. Here’s a hint:
“You probably know Orlando for its world class theme parks and attractions, but you may not know the other half of it. From our professional sports, high-tech and emerging medical industries, to our vibrant art community, there is something for everyone. Enjoy your visit!”
Well, if you’ve ever flown into hates 1-59 at Orlando International Airport you’ve ridden the Automated People Mover (it’s a Monorail surely?) and heard his voice.
In fact, it has a bit of a cult following, here’s the Mayor recording a newer version back in 2017:
I keep hearing there's a cult following for my @MCO welcome message. Don't worry I've taped a message for the new automated people movers. pic.twitter.com/iWp6rz2AnW
