I can hear him now. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer has recorded a new message for all MCO Orlando Airport travelers that board the APM (Automatic People Mover, known as the Plane Train to nearby Atlanta natives) inside the terminals. Known for his caring voice and personable demeanor welcoming visitors to Florida, Buddy Dyer’s welcome message often marks Disney fan‘s vacation with an official start. It’s real when you hear Buddy! But in these challenging new times, Mayor Dyer has, unfortunately, had to update his welcome message to one of solidarity and social distancing.
Mayor Buddy Dyer’s New Airport Message
Mayor Dyer has updated his Orlando International Airport message with a timely call to rally together in the face of our recent hardships. His Twitter account, @OrlandoMayor, showed him at the recording mic, spreading the news via the airwaves. His tweet read, “Airports nationally continue to operate for business, family and medical travelers. I’ve updated my @MCO message to urge travelers to help stop the spread by staying in and practicing physical distancing. When the time is right, we’ll again welcome leisure visitors to our city.” Listen to his attached video to hear his new message.

In times of state Governors trying to update regulations and open the country back up in what many of us feel are “too soon” measures, Buddy Dyer is still asking you to stay in if you can, and to help utilize other physical measures to slow and stop the spread of this terrible disease. If you are arriving at MCO Orlando International Airport soon, you will hear his request for assistance.
