While many parents are struggling with remote learning and being thrust into homeschooling, times aren’t easy for teachers either. Teachers get into their field because they love investing in kids, so not seeing their students while social distancing protocols are in-place is undoubtedly taking a toll.

One Louisville, Kentucky area teacher, from the suburban Oldham County, rewrote The Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World” to tell her elementary school students how much she misses them.

Teacher Morgan True posted an adorable video message, featuring her singing her new rendition of “Part of Your World,” on Facebook. The sweet gesture shows just how much she cares about the kids in her class!

I’m 100% NOT a professional singer, but I’d do just about anything to make my students smile (even rewrite a Disney song). I sure do miss those crazy kiddos. ❤️✏️🍎#thirdgradeteacher #teachingfromhome #imissmystudents #disneysongs #thelittlemermaid

Ms. True’s rewrite is a lot of fun, including lines like “Look at this year? Wasn’t it grand? This wasn’t the ending that anyone planned!” and “I wanna be where my students are. I wanna see, wanna see them learning.”

No doubt students and parents both appreciated this heartfelt message for Ms. True’s elementary school students as they continue remote learning for the foreseeable future. In her public Facebook post, Ms. True wrote, “I’m 100% NOT a professional singer, but I’d do just about anything to make my students smile (even rewrite a Disney song). I sure do miss those crazy kiddos.”

While e-learning is certainly a new challenge for teachers, moms and dads, and kids alike, we think Ariel would dive right in, just like this third-grade teacher seems to be!
