If you’re like me and are working from home during these troubling times, you may also be spending more time than you should in hunting down amusing Zoom backgrounds to use during video calls.

At the minute I have Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star running around in panic (working quite well),  but that’s about to change with these new Disney Zoom backgrounds that have just been released.

The newest backgrounds have officially been released by Disney and include moments from films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice in Wonderland. Check out a selection below:

It feels like I am constantly in a Mad Tea Party at the moment so I may go for that one in the short term.

Disney has said this on the new backgrounds:

Backgrounds set the stage for characters and stories to unfold. For your next video call, go under the sea or off to Wonderland with these backgrounds from the Walt Disney Animation Research Library collection!

Here are the other ones in the recent collection of Disney Zoom backgrounds:

If you’re still unsure on how to install a custom video background on Zoom, here are some helpful tips:

How to Enable the Virtual Background

You don’t need a green screen or a decent camera to get the backgrounds working. The Zoom website has a step-by-step process to help users get a Disney Zoom background enabled. Be sure to visit the help center for a complete overview and list of requirements.

Here are the basic instructions from the help page on the Zoom site to get enable your background of choice:

To enable the Virtual Background feature for all members of your organization:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with permission to edit Account settings, and click Account Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Virtual Background option on the Meeting tab and verify that the setting is enabled.
Note: If the setting is disabled, click the Status toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, choose Turn On to verify the change.

Note: Users must logout of the Zoom Desktop Client and login to it again for this setting to take affect.

You will also be able to change your background by using the mobile app to video chat.

As I mentioned earlier, you can also use a short video if you so wish so feel free to experiment! These backgrounds join the existing Disney backgrounds in existence. These include Disney Pixar, Disneyland Paris, Disney Princess and the iconic main mouse himself, Mickey Mouse.
