We shared last month a series of cartoons depicting Disney characters social distancing. Since then, the cartoonist has created even more cartoons in the series, and they are too cute not to share!
As people across the U.S. continue to social distance and shelter in place, we continue to look for ways to cope with this new normal. And some Disney fans are using art as a way to get through this tumultuous time! Megan the Cartoonist has been sharing her depictions of Disney characters social distancing in a series of posts on Reddit. At first, we shared her versions of The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, and The Little Mermaid. Find those posts here!
But there are even more hilarious creations from Megan. Take a look!
Imagine what the movie Aladdin would have been like if Aladdin and Jasmine had to take separate flying carpets during “A Whole New World”…it wouldn’t have been nearly as shining, shimmering, or splendid.
How would the Haunted Mansion ghosts effectively hitchhike together if they had to stand six feet apart? They look pretty disappointed to us…
We’re all familiar with the duels between Peter Pan and Captain Hook. But they would look awfully different if they constantly had to stay several feet apart during battle.
Would Tiana ever turn into a frog if she had to distance herself from Prince Naveen? In the cartoon below, you can see she stays a human while blowing Naveen a kiss during what would be a pivotal scene in Princess and the Frog.
Belle and the Beast would have to keep a safe distance from each other in the ballroom during Beauty and the Beast. As one person commented, Belle doesn’t seem too disappointed in this particular arrangement!
Even though Thumper and Bambi have to stay apart from each other, they still look like they’re enjoying their spring day!
And long surfboards seem to be meant for social distancing…or at least, that’s the loophole that Lilo and Stitch found!
We appreciate the time it takes Megan to create these works of art. Next, we’d love to see Elsa and Anna from Frozen or even Kuzco and Pacha from The Emperor’s New Groove.
We hope these Disney-inspired cartoons spark joy for all of you. Stay healthy and safe!
