The temporary closures of the Disney Parks are hitting all of us pretty hard. I think it’s safe to say each and every one of us is missing the Disney magic — But this video clips hit home a tad bit more than others.

The Walt Disney World Resort closed its doors to its theme parks on March 16, 2020 and its resorts on March 20, 2020. A majority of the guests who were already visiting Walt Disney World had decided to finish their vacations, including this one family who stayed until the very end.

The decision to go to Disney World during this time was not an easy one for The Porter family — In fact, they went back and forth. However, the family decided to go on their vacation and make the most out of it.

Once their family vacation came to an end, the resort manager at Disney’s Riviera Resort hotel told them that they were the last family to leave Walt Disney World. Once the shuttle arrived, the family stepped outside to a thunderous applause from the Cast Members. They all lined up to wave goodbye to the last family, who is now part of Disney history.

We still are unsure of when the Disney Parks are rescheduled to open. At this time, the official Walt Disney World Resort website states the property will remain closed through March 31, 2020. Inside the Magic will continue to update our website as The Walt Disney Company releases more information regarding the park closures.
