Spaceship Earth Closing May 26th: New Concept Art and Info About Its Reimagining

Epcot’s beloved Spaceship Earth is officially beginning its process of reimagining on May 26th, according to the Disney Parks blog. Accompanied by the announcement is new concept art of what we can expect the reimagined attraction to look like.

This means that starting May 26th, Spaceship Earth will be closing to guests until a date that has yet to be announced.

However, the Disney Parks blog did share some more exciting information about the changes being made to the attraction.

“You’ll visit Egypt, which is part of the current version of the attraction, but it will be an Egypt like you’ve never seen before, transformed through the power of light,” the Disney Parks blog shared. “Throughout the attraction, you’ll hear new narration and see how light plays a central role in our shared human journey, coming to life in dynamic ways in a celebration of the magic that’s possible when we all come together.”

It will be tough waiting to be able to ride Spaceship Earth again. This is the fourth time the attraction has been updated since its opening. Despite this, we can’t wait to see the changes that are coming to Epcot’s most prominent icon!

Epcot is currently undergoing many changes that were announced during D23 last year. Spaceship Earth’s reimagining comes amidst a new nighttime spectacular debuting later this year, as well as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opening this summer.
