“This parade is absolutely spectacular — it’s the definition of ‘magic.’ From the artistry and floats to the dancing and music — not to mention the variety of characters — Magic Happens sets the bar to a whole new level when it comes to Disney parades. As a Disney fan for life, I’ll be coming back to see Magic Happens every chance I get — and listening to the soundtrack as often as possible!” said ITM reporter Bailee Abell after seeing Magic Happens in person.

After watching the parade ITM reporter Kurt Schmidt had this to say: “This parade went beyond my expectations. I am so excited to see Disneyland have the premier Disney parade now.”

Magic Happens and the Disney Tradition Continues

Parades have always been an important part of a magical Disneyland experience since its opening day over 60 years ago, and Magic Happens undoubtedly lifts that experience to new heights.

“Disneyland park opened with a parade, right? So I think a parade adds a really magical touch to the day,” said David Duffy, creative director at Disney Live Entertainment. “It’s a chance for our families and all of our guests to experience a multitude of Disney characters and a multitude of Disney stories. Families can take a moment, they can sit down on one of the curbs Main Street or Small World, take a break, and we just bring the magic to them. So I think it really is a wonderful addition to the day.”

Some of the most eye-catching aspects of this parade include the addition of a Moana and Coco float as well as the glorious color scheme: A royal blend of purple, gold, and blue. The flagship colors will be rocked by Sorcerer Mickey and the unbelievably talented dancing “Magic Makers.” Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the amazing new line of merchandise that comes with it!
