The EPCOT refurbishments just hit a small but significant milestone! The sign for Gusteau’s Restaurant was raised in place today at the EPCOT’s France Pavilion, bringing us one step closer to the completion of the new Ratatouille ride and the overall transformation of the French pavilion.
You can see the sign here:
New Sign for a New Ride
Just to be clear, an actual Gusteau’s restaurant is, unfortunately, not moving into EPCOT. Rather, it is an iconic exterior piece for the new ride that will be the latest addition to World Showcase: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
If you remember the scene in Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille, where Remy first arrives in Gusteau’s kitchen and we get a rat’s view of darting through an active kitchen, you’ll get the gist of the ride. You will be shrunk down to the size of a rat and taken on a crazy culinary adventure. Yes, it is a family-friendly experience.
In Disney’s own words:
“This family-friendly experience will invite you on a super-sized adventure with Chef Remy, where you’ll race through Gusteau’s kitchen in special trackless ride vehicles.”
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is still scheduled to open in EPCOT this summer, and we couldn’t be more excited.
