Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is a ground breaking Disney attraction located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.
In order to ride the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, you need to be located inside the theme park at park opening, open the appropriate app, and hope you are lucky enough to snag a boarding group before they all fill up.
There are a lot of mixed feelings about the boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as there is absolutely no other way to enjoy the attraction without a boarding group. And in order to get a boarding group for the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, a lot of people are comparing the process to a lottery, which many feel is unfair.
Well, it looks as if Walt Disney World is now trying to find alternatives to the boarding group process in a new survey issued. According to Twitter user @DrewDisneyDude, the Walt Disney World survey asks a variety of questions including one on how Disney guests prefer to wait for their turn to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Disney is sending out a new survey asking guests if they prefer boarding groups, limited FastPasses and a standby queue, or only a standby queue for Rise of the Resistance. #RiseoftheResistance pic.twitter.com/H0nRI5hxSY

As you can see in the Tweet above, the Disney question asks “Which of the following would have been your preferred choice in order to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance?” Guests taking the survey can choose:
- The virtual queue system currently used
- A combination of limited FastPass+ tickets and waiting in a standby line (similar to the current FastPass+ system)
- Standby lines only
There was also another question regarding Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which asked guests about any challenges they experienced with the new attraction, which you can see in the tweet below.
There were many more parts in the Rise of the Resistance survey including this talking about the guest experience. Great to see Disney asking about this. 😁 #RiseoftheResistance pic.twitter.com/rxNCEl7XGC

We are unsure if there are plans to change the process for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance but it is nice to see that Disney is taking into consideration the guests feelings and experiences.
