Disney Springs just shared a picture of a dome cake made by the masters at Amorette’s Patisserie. It has an uncanny resemblance to our favorite astro-mec droid: R2-D2.
Amorette’s Patisserie
Located in the Disney Springs Town Center, Amorette’s Patisserie is well-known for its delicious, artistically-designed cakes and assorted baked goods. On its page of the Disney Springs website, it says:
Amorette means “little love” in French. And that’s exactly the spirit behind all of the edible works you’ll find on display inside this quaint confectionery—from showstopping cakes to savory crêpes.
Pair your favorite sweet with a glass of bubbly, as champagne and sparkling wine are sold by the bottle or glass—cheers!
The patisserie serves a variety of delicious French sweets including macarons, éclairs, and crème brülée. Amorette’s also creates locally-inspired treats such as Mickey brownies, and “Flavors of South Floria” which includes Avocado Key Lime Mousse, Strawberry Pate De Fruit, and Caramelized Sesame Seeds.
But the cakes at Amorette Patisserie are in a class all their own. The menu currently boasts cakes in the likeness of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto in one of these options: Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Milk Chocolate Mousse and Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly OR Lemon Chiffon Cake, White Chocolate Mousse and Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly.
The master pastry chefs also sell “Amorette’s Signature Cake” which, according to their webpage, involves: “Eleven layers of Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Cake, Cherry Mousse, Chocolate Mousse, Raspberry Pate De Fruit Jelly, and Italian Buttercream.”
Whether this R2-D2 cake is just a promotional stunt for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker or a new addition to their menu remains to be seen. But what you can do is call the patisserie at (407) 934-3500 to pre-order your own specialty cake and ask for yourself.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens everywhere–including the AMC theaters at Disney Springs–on December 20.
