The Wizarding world of Harry Potter has just gotten darker with the all new “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” projection show at Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Harry Potter world at Universal Orlando has always been an exciting an adventurous place full of thrilling and wild rides, enchanting magical retail experiences, delicious and spellbinding foods, and larger-than-life entertainment offerings. And this past weekend, Universal unveiled its newest addition to its entertainment line-up in the Harry Potter land and it celebrates the dark arts like never before!

In this new show, guests come face-to-face with Death Eaters, the devoted followers of Lord Voldemort known for their allegiance and practice of the Dark Arts. The show begins with ominous green light and fog permeating the village as the Death Eaters eerily roam throughout Hogsmeade, lurking amongst guests–practicing the Dark Arts with complete disregard of wizarding laws.

Then, guests witness Dementors, Aragog, Mountain Trolls, Thestrals and other unspeakable creatures cloak the castle for “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle.” Guests are next asked to summon their inner strength and bravely face the all-consuming Dark Arts and the visage of the powerful Dark wizard Lord Voldemort until the Patronus spell–one of the most famous, difficult and powerful defense of the Dark Arts charms in the Wizarding World is cast.

This all-new experience is is the third projection mapping experience ever created for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Hogsmeade in Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure.

During select times throughout the year, guests can also enjoy “Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” and “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.”

“Darks Arts at Hogwarts Castle” runs select nights now through November 15.
