Credit: Sony PicturesWhen Sony and Marvel announced last week that Spider-Man would be returning to the MCU, it was welcome news to fans across the planet. We are huge fans of the web-slinger here at Inside The Magic and we know some were pretty worried about Sony taking full creative control of the franchise again, especially given what happened the last time we got a Spider-Man trilogy (let’s not say anything more on how bad that film was…).
We don’t need to worry about that though as Sony and Marvel are once again working together. Here are some of our favorite reactions about the Sony-Marvel announcement.

Those who have seen the latest installment will know that going into the third movie, Peter Parker is going to be in more than a bit of trouble with the law. Is it time for Disney to reintroduce us to our favorite lawyer-turned-crimefighter and bring Matt Murdoch (Daredevil) into the MCU? We’re really hoping that this is how Disney begin introducing the Netflix characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
But we aren’t the only ones hoping for the return of Matt Murdoch within the sequel:

The other great thing about the announcement is that we will be getting more of J. Jonah Jameson and the incredible talents of JK Simmons.
Of course, the good news is that we have at least one more main Spidey entry to look forward to in 2021 alongside an additional appearance by Tom Holland in another MCU movie. Hopefully, the next movie does as well as Far From Home and Tom Holand remains a part of the MCU for years to come!
