Behind the scenes of Epcot Forever, Disney's newest fireworks show

Though we are all pretty sad to see one of the greatest shows in the history of Walt Disney World leaves us at the end of this month, Epcot Forever seems more and more like it is going to be a fitting tribute to the history of the park when it debuts on October 1st.

Epcot Forever will be the show that tides guests over between IllumiNations and the recently announced nighttime spectacular set to debut in 2020, Harmonious. Epcot Forever is essentially a tribute to the past, present, and future of Epcot and Disney have just revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the show ahead of its launch in a couple of weeks time.

Epcot Forever will feature fireworks, lasers, and choreographed special effects kites. In addition, the star of the show (for us at least) is set to be the music score, featuring beloved tracks from Epcot past and present. We’re sure to get a bit of a tear in our eye when old attraction soundtracks appear in the show.

It also d0esn’t appear that this show will include any Disney characters, a huge talking point from the new Harmonious nighttime show. Many Epcot fans feel characters are best left at the other theme parks, time will tell on that.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is still going to be incredibly missed at Epcot and has bought us and thousands of Disney fans so many happy memories over the years but Epcot Forever is sounding more and more like the perfect show for fans of Epcot who have been with the park since the 80s and we can’t wait!
