We don’t know how you feel about hinges creaking in doorless chambers. And we aren’t sure if the portrait chamber is actually stretching, but one thing’s for sure: the Haunted Mansion is turning 50 this week, and the event is being celebrated by boys and ghouls of all ages.
And Loungefly, maker of a myriad of festive, colorful and attractive Disney Parks merchandise, is joining in the celebration with some of the spookiest bags and purses we’ve seen yet!
The Hatbox Ghost in rare form
The Hatbox Ghost is arguably the creepiest character within the Disney Parks, and if you love him like we do, you’ve got to get this barrel-shaped Hatbox Ghost bag. The bag is black with clear plastic that showcases the head of the mysterious ghost. Who wouldn’t love playing the part of the ghost–and carrying his head inside your bag this Halloween season?
The bag retails for $75. Not too scary, if you ask us.
Totes for every foolish mortal…even you!
Loungefly didn’t stop with the Hatbox Ghost barrel bag. Just look at these hauntingly beautiful bags and totes!
Beware of hitchhiking ghosts–one might follow you home! But we’re cool with that, if it means they come home with us on this tote! Loungefly cut no corners on these delicious totes that are lined with the signature purple and black wallpaper patterned fabric on the inside.
Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween, we think this Madame Leota bag is eerily keen! This gem of a bag features the incomparable Madame Leota. And we nearly died when we noticed the Hatbox Ghost on the lower right corner! There’s even a gargoyle from the Portrait Chamber (stretching room) on the bag.
And we’re dying to show you the tote that features headstones from the cemetery outside the attraction.
This tote is a celebration of all things Haunted Mansion–Madame Leota, the raven, the stretching room gargoyle and the hitchhiking ghosts.
There’s one little detail that we think makes these bags even more mysteriously magnificent. Look at this–some of them even have straps that read, “Foolish Mortals.” Even the most diehard Haunted Mansion fans have to agree, we just couldn’t ask for anything more!
The totes retail for $85, and the only thing scarier than these bags and totes is that they aren’t yet available at ShopDisney.com, but we’ll be lying in wait…uh, patiently waiting, that is. You can, however, search for them at Port Royal at New Orleans Square at Disneyland…if you dare!
