New Christmas celebrations coming to Pandora – The World of Avatar, Magic Kingdom for 2019 holiday

There’s no better place to celebrate the holidays than at Walt Disney World and this year, guests will be able to look forward to all-new experiences as the resort expands its many holiday offerings. But most excitingly, Pandora – The World of Avatar will be seeing holiday celebrations for the first time ever!

Take a look at these new celebrations premiering at Pandora – The World of Avatar and Magic Kingdom, in addition to the many others around the rest of the Walt Disney World Parks below.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has always offered guests some holiday fun. However, this year the park is taking it to the next level with all-new entertainment and holiday decor in every land!

Discovery Island Holidays

NEW – Discovery Island

Located in the heart of the park, guests will be able to discover a magical scene that changes throughout the day. By day, guests can take in stylized, life-sized animal puppets will mingle with villagers who make the island at home. At night, rooftop luminaries in animal shapes and bird lanterns appear throughout the themed land.

NEW – Tree of Life

As the sun begins to set on the Tree of Life, the magical tree will awaken with a series of wintry tales emerging from within, backed by a familiar and heartwarming holiday musical score. Occurring between awakening moments, the Tree of Life will sparkle throughout the night, alive with the magic of nature and the spirit of the holidays.

NEW – Dinoland U.S.A.

At Dinoland U.S.A, guests will be able to rock out with the DJ-led “Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale” and plenty of interactive fun and games. Throughout the land, characters in Donald’s Dino-Bash! will help guests celebrate the holidays with colorful costumes.

NEW – Pandora – The World of Avatar

Here is where guests will find out-of-this-world holiday fun! Ex-pats living and working on the moon of Pandora will roll out seasonal cheer with a display of whimsical holiday decor at Pongu Pongu, pairing vintage pieces from Earth with items handcrafted from materials indigenous to Pandora.

Magic Kingdom

Like many years’ prior, Magic Kingdom will transform into an enchanting wonderland with dazzling decorations, holiday treats, a shimmering ice castle and much more.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party also returns this year with more magic than ever before! This specially ticketed event will take place on select nights from Nov. 8 to Dec. 22.

Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show

NEW! Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

This all-new nighttime holiday extravaganza, hosted by Minnie Mouse, invites guests to come together in a celebration of heartfelt moments and the magic of Christmas. The show will be presented during the specially ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

NEW! Enhanced Attractions

As we reported earlier, during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, select Magic Kingdom attractions will be extra jolly with special holiday enhancements perfectly fit for a Christmastime celebration. Mad Tea Party, Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Space Mountain all join in on the festive fun!

Other favorites returning to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year include A Frozen Holiday Wish stage show where Queen Elsa magically transforms Cinderella Castle with glistening ice, Holiday Fireworks Dessert Parties, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Epcot

The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will be returning to the park, beginning November 29. The festival invites guests to experience live musical productions, spirited storytellers, seasonal lights and decor, delicious holiday treats and more!

Candlelight Processional

The beloved holiday tradition featuring the retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator backed by a 50- piece orchestra and massed choir is also returning to Epcot. Returning narrators include Neil Patrick Harris, Whoopi Goldberg and Pat Sajak.

Holiday Kitchens

At the park’s Holiday Kitchens, guests will delight in delectable dishes inspired by treasured holiday recipes from around the globe. This will take place at twelve specialty kitchens set around World Showcase.

Sunset Season’s Greetings

This returning nighttime show will once-again transform Sunset Boulevard into a winter wonderland as the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel comes to life with festive scenes of the season. This experience is one to remember, with its laser effects, enchanting snow, joyful songs and stories of holiday cheer courtesy of favorite Disney friends.

At this wild nighttime extravaganza, guests can embark on a wondrous yuletide adventure to the North Pole along with beloved Disney animated characters in this fantastic nighttime spectacular. For those not familiar, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! combines state-of-the-art projections, fireworks, special effects and Christmas music to create a dazzling, one-of-a-kind holiday experience for guests.

Disney Springs

During the holiday season, Disney Springs will also transform with the rest of the parks into a winter wonderland with sparkling lights, enchanting decor and a whimsical walk-through Christmas Tree Trail lined with dozens of custom-decorated Christmas trees, each dedicated to a popular Disney theme.
