If you’re like us, you can’t wait for the premiere of The Walt Disney Company’s new streaming service Disney+. But as we all know, keeping track of our many streaming services can be quite difficult. However, if you’re already a Hulu subscriber, signing up for the service just got a little easier as the new service will be featured as an add-on subscription to the already famous TV and movie video-on-demand application.
The news has just been confirmed by Hulu Senior Vice President of Originals, Craig Erwich. For those not familiar with Hulu or who have not yet subscribed to the popular service, it already offers premium add-ons like HBO and CBS All Access for additional fees and it seems Disney+ will soon be joining this list.
As we reported earlier, Disney+ will be $6.99 per month when it launches later this year. Although, we’re curious to see if the price is decreased for Hulu subscribers who choose to bundle it into their current service. Erwich did not reveal if the service would be offered for less when confirming the news at the TCA’s.
An add-on could be beneficial to some subscribers as it is quite difficult to keep up with all of the streaming services the average person possesses. With this option, not only would billing of the Disney+ service be added into a subscriber’s monthly payment to Hulu, but there is also a chance customers could access Disney+ content within the Hulu app as well.
When it launches, Disney+ will be the exclusive home in the U.S. for on-demand viewing of many of the latest live-action and animated Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic films and entertainment. Some of its offerings will include a “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” “The Mandalorian,” “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” “Loki,” “WandaVision,” an untitled Cassian Andor series, and much more!
Disney+ is set to launch officially to consumers on November 12, 2019.
