Credit: ITM Reporter/Sean Sposato Universal Orlando just introduced their newest addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, which fans everywhere have been going crazy for! However, it seems the new Hagrid coaster is requiring more maintenance than originally expected and Universal is now saying the ride will be opening midday for the next few weeks.
Many Universal Orlando Annual Passholders are aware that Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure has been facing delays and technical issues as the ride’s popularity has overwhelmed the park several days in a row. But, it seems Universal is looking to utilize a new method to help reduce these issues and ensure a better experience for all, which will hopefully result in fewer delays and technical issues.

In the release by Universal, the company writes: “We’ve been managing through significant weather delays and running the attraction well beyond regular park hours to accommodate our guests…But this is our most sophisticated, high-performance, ride system ever — and our team needs time to take care of the ride’s daily maintenance and technical support.”
The announcement (featured in the tweet above) came Monday night, which also encourages guests to check for daily updates about the coater’s operation throughout the day.
Since its opening, the attraction has faced many obstacles, including long queue times, weather delays and technical issues, which have all caused the attraction to undergo a lot of wear and tear in a short period of time.
As per the release, Universal asks that park guests enjoy the rest of the park in the morning and to then check in with the park’s operations team for daily updates. However, the attraction is expected to open each day at midday.
