It’s official, the Russo brothers have reached their end with the internationally famous superhero film company as the brothers have confirmed they will not be returning for any additional films with Marvel Studios.

Joe and Anthony Russo first became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with “Captain America: Winter Soldier,” the first project the brothers blew out of the water for Marvel Studios! This continued with “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” and more recently, it’s been reported that “Avengers: Endgame,” the duo’s most recent film, is turning into one of the biggest films of all time. However, the pair have confirmed that their working relationship will be coming to an end with Marvel Studios after “Avengers: Endgame.”

“It’s our Endgame, at least for now,” Anthony Russo explained to Games Radar. “We don’t have any plans for now to make any more Marvel movies. It certainly may come up in the future at some point. We have a wonderful working relationship with [Marvel Studios] and a great passion for what they’re doing.”

For fans of the filmmaking brothers, this news can seem quite sad. Not only are the beloved filmmakers taking a step back from Marvel Studios, but the stories of our favorite superheroes over the past decade are also coming to an end. However, due to the Russo brother’s massive successes with Marvel Studios, it’s hard to believe the duo couldn’t possibly return to work with the company again at some point in the future.

“I think that, you know, we’re going to take a little bit of a break,” Joe told at CinemaCon. “We love Marvel. I mean, we’re very close with Kevin [Feige] and Lou [DeEsposito] and Victoria [Alonso] and Trin [Tranh], who’s produced the last two movies with us and eight more. I mean, it’s really like family for us there. But, you know, we’ve done four movies in six and a half years so we’re going to take a little bit of a vacation, but we’ll be, we’ll be back in a heartbeat.”

You can catch the Russo brother’s final Marvel film, “Avengers: Endgame,” in theaters everywhere!
