As we reported yesterday, reservations to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on opening day are getting ready to open in just a little over a week from now. However, a new report is finding that the amount of time fans will get to explore the new intergalactic land may be limited.

As we all know, when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on May 31 at Disneyland, the amount of visitors will be out of this world! However, it seems that Disney has already planned out how the theme park will be able to cycle in as many guests as possible, which is believed to be by cycling out guests after a limited period of time.

In a new report by USA Today, it was shared that hotel guests who already made reservations at on-site Disney hotels have received details of their visits to the new land, which includes fine print of the limited time details.

In the email, guests report being issued specific four-hour windows for their visit to the land along with this disclaimer: “You and your party will be required to leave Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the end of your reservation time period,” said the email, as posted in the Disneyland Addicts! Facebook group. “If you decide to leave Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before your reservation time is over, you will not be allowed to reenter.”

The report states that the company will be relying on an honor system when it comes to enforcing the rule.

If you’re not staying on property and want to make your own reservation to the new land, be sure to be by your computer or smartphone on Thursday, May 2 at 8:00 AM PT on Disneyland.com or the Disney Parks Blog. Here is where fans will find specific details on how to make reservations.

Registration opens at 10:00 AM PT on May 2, and you must have a Disney account in order to make a reservation. If you need to create an account, you should do so here before registration opens. Even if you already have an account, make sure you’re able to log in (and update your account information if needed) so you’re ready to go on May 2. And remember — while reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are free, you also need to have a ticket to enter Disneyland park.

Is there information for the month of June?

“You and your party will be required to leave Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the end of your reservation time period,”

    followed with:

“The report states that the company will be relying on an honor system when it comes to enforcing the rule.”

Clearly they do not know the meaning of “required.”

  3. I find myself wondering how they’ll enforce it. Possibly with colored wristbands and just asking anyone with a ‘morning’ band to leave after a given time? I suspect this is only going to be a temporary measure, though, in any event… much like Pandora, this small area is going to be an utter mob scene if they don’t do something, and no one would enjoy the zone no matter HOW cool it is, if you’re literally shoulder to shoulder and unable to move. Anything will help.
