In 2017 during Disneyland Paris’s 25th Anniversary celebration, Tony Baxter said: “If Walt Disney World is the most spectacular Disney Resort in the World and Disneyland the most authentic, Disneyland Park is the most detailed Magic Kingdom we ever did.”
And I hope the photo report I present you today will make you feel the same and maybe, make you want to come and visit Disneyland Paris on your own. As you may already know, Disneyland Paris has two theme parks: Disneyland Park opened in 1992 and Walt Disney Studios Park opened in 2002.
Today, let me take you to my favorite one (at least for now as I can’t wait for the big Walt Disney Studios expansion coming in the next few years): Disneyland Park. With five lands (Main Street USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland) plus the amazing Sleeping Beauty Castle, Disneyland Park is a dream place for all guests, whether they are kids or adults.
Let’s start with the entrance. Disneyland Paris was the first Disney Park to place a hotel at the entrance of a park. The Disneyland Hotel becomes part of a visitor’s experience as they pass under it to enter Disneyland Park …
… towards Main Street USA:
Don’t forget to grab a map!
If you ever need a haircut or shave, Dapper Dan’s Haircut is a Disneyland Park must do experience! ( Men only )
Due to erratic weather around Paris, Disneyland Paris is the only Disney Park offering arcades on each side of Main Street USA, allowing guests to walk towards the Castle without suffering from rain or snow in winter. Be sure to take a minute to pass through these arcades as they are like little museums.
Let go to Discoveryland now, where you will see our unique Space Mountain.
Be sure to come back at night too, this land is surprisingly beautiful after the sun goes down.
This is one of my favorite details from Discoveryland: look at this wall with all of Discoveryland’s legendary vehicles! And if you go to the left of the Constellations store, you will see a window of the future as seen by visionaries of the past. This window has been here, unchanged since the park opened in 1992.
We are now at Fantasyland. It’s the most magical Fantasyland I have ever seen. Full of details and references to Disney movies …
See the tiny Disney key in this picture? This land is so full of secrets. Maybe one day I will write about some of those …
And here’s a tiny magical detail you will love: Flora, Fauna and Merryweather whirling in this store’s fireplace.
Oh, and I forgot to tell you we have a dragon too! Merlin keeps it under the Castle, take a minute to say Hi.
Let’s change the world and go to Adventureland. Disneyland Paris Adventureland is quite different from Magic Kingdom’s. The jungle is everywhere here and at night, it’s kind of mystical.
Next, let’s go to Frontierland and the best Big Thunder Mountain you will ever ride (not my words, promise).
It’s also here you will find Phantom Manor – the French version of Haunted Mansion – which is closed for refurbishment now. We just can’t wait to have it back …
Our journey ends with a sneak peek of Disney Stars on Parade (and yes, we have the same Dragon as the Magic Kingdom) and a little snack – stay tuned I will be sharing a report on Disneyland Paris snacks soon, they are so cute.
And that’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed the tour.
