Let’s take a look at some of the new happenings at 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has been an annual celebration at Walt Disney World for 23 years, bringing food, beverage and entertainment offerings to the Central Florida resort from around the globe. Here is a look at a few of the new offerings at this year’s festival.

We’ll begin with the Festival Center, where guests can find three new happenings making their debut at this year’s event.

The Festival Center sign, featuring vibrant food illustrations and nestled among lush trees, invites guests to experience the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World. Event runs from August 30 through November 12.

Guests stroll toward Spaceship Earth’s iconic golden geodesic dome, surrounded by lush trees and sunshine, enjoying the lively energy of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar is a brand new bar to this year’s festival, where guests can enjoy a sweeter beverage offering. Here guests can find the Madras Mimosa (featured below) and other flavors including Key Lime Mimosa, Tropical Mimosa, and Blood Orange Mimosa.

In addition to this bar’s sweet mimosas, it will also offer Chocolate Croissants, Almond Croissants, Jumbo Blueberry Muffins, Cheese Danish, and Frozen Apple Pies.

Another new addition to the Festival Center (that the whole family can enjoy) is the Junior Chef Kitchen, presented by Krusteaz. Under the guidance of a Disney Chef, “Junior Chefs” get to decorate and sample their own pancake creations using fun recipes.

Participants also get their very own chef hat, apron and certificate of completion.

  • September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
  • October 7, 14, 21 and 28
  • November 4, 11

Note: children wishing to participate in the complimentary Junior Chef Kitchen must register at the Festival Center on the day before or the morning of the experience. Guests must be between 4 and 10 years of age to participate. Availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Valid theme park admission is required.

Additionally, another fun stop in the Festival Center is The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar, hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.

One last fun new addition to 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is the Family Play Zone, presented by the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Found outside of Mouse Gear in Future World, this pop-up playground features “Wreck-It Ralph”-themed playground equipment.

All of these new additions can be experienced today at Walt Disney World’s 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
