Disney Snack Review: Peter Pan Float at Storybook Treats in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

Disney vacations provide guests with magic at every turn. With exciting attractions, relaxing amenities and so much more, there is sure to be something for everyone. And if you’re anything like me, your favorite part of the trip will always be the food.

Some of Disney’s snacks are nothing short of legendary. The Mickey Pretzel, The Mickey Premium Bar and the Dole Whip are just some of Disney’s most famous options. But if you’re only trying the classics when you visit Walt Disney World, you are really missing out. Between their theme parks, their resort hotels and their dining and shopping districts, Disney has all kinds of amazing snacks to offer. Let’s take a closer look at one of those lesser-known offerings.

Peter Pan Float

Magic Kingdom offers up all of those previously mentioned iconic Disney snacks, but it also has plenty of unique options, including the brand new Peter Pan Float. Tucked in the back of the park, Fantasyland is home to Storybook Treats, which is where you’ll find this tasty delight.

Between The Friar’s Nook (a location we’ll be visiting soon for some more unique snacks!) and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, you’ll find the little ice cream place known as Storybook Treats.

Storybook Treats offers all kinds of frozen treats, including soft-serve, sundaes and floats. It’s a great place to stop by if you want a quick snack that will help you beat the Florida heat.

The Peter Pan Float is perhaps the most refreshing thing on the menu. Consisting of Key Lime Ice Cream and Sprite, all topped off with a chocolate feather, this new float is a very light and tasty snack.

While the chocolate feather is best treated simply as a garnish, once you get into the Key Lime Ice Cream, you’ll fall in love with the Peter Pan Float. The ice cream is a delicious flavor that is particularly refreshing in the Summer heat. Throw in the crisp taste of Sprite and you’ve got yourself a delicious float. At $5.49, it may be a bit pricey for cup of ice cream and soda, but I would say it’s worth it at least to try it once.

On top of the delicious flavor of the Peter Pan Float, it’s also a very “Instagram-able” new snack. Before you dig in, and before it melts, be sure to snap a few shots with a Fantasyland backdrop for that perfect Never Land look.

For my final thoughts on the Peter Pan Float, it is delicious but it’s not quite as delicious as the Citrus Swirl from Sunshine Tree Terrace or of course the quintessential Dole Whip. That of course is my personal opinion, and I prefer orange and pineapple to lime. If you prefer lime, this is the snack for you because it is certainly a delicious and refreshing choice.
