Get ready to spend a magical New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World thanks to four different parties happening throughout the resort hotels.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is hosting Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Experience, where fine-dining aficionados can spend an unforgettable evening. Inspired by the French Quarter of New Orleans and Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” the event transforms the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Ballroom with French Quarter-inspired decor.
Visit an array of stations to sample food like smoked salmon mousse cones and oyster beignets. As dinner approaches, you’ll be guided to a premier dining destination to enjoy the main course. Dine on herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish étouffé, Black Angus beef, braised short ribs and roast filet of beef with truffled celery root silk, all while enjoying the authentic sounds of a live jazz band.
At the end of the evening, a vocalist joins the band to bring the music of “Princess and the Frog” to life. Then, you’ll be escorted to a private viewing area near the Porte Cochére for champagne and the stunning Magic Kingdom fireworks show.
Down in New Orleans – A Disney New Year’s Eve Experience takes place on December 31, 2017, from 7:00 PM to 12:15 AM. It features restaurant-style reserved seating.
