DuckTales is Disney XD’s most-watched animated series in more than 2 years

Huey, Dewey, and Louie gather around Scrooge McDuck, who dons his signature top hat and holds a newspaper while sharing stories with them in an animation style inspired by DuckTales on Disney XD.

DuckTales premiered last month on Disney XD and as expected, it drew quite a bit of attention. The revival of the classic characters had Disney fans excited and the numbers prove that. DuckTales has seen the biggest launch for an animated series on DisneyXD in the last two and a half years.

The show’s premiere had 662,000 total viewers and 311,000 viewers ages 2-11, ranking the launch first in both categories since the premiere of “Star vs. The Forces of Evil” in 2015.

Scrooge McDuck and the DuckTales gang pilot their signature plane on a thrilling adventure, with vibrant animated maps and cockpit controls reminiscent of interactive Disney Park attractions. The scene is packed with Disney XD’s energetic style and hidden Easter Eggs for fans to discover—like uncovering surprises at a DuckTales-themed ride in a Disney Resort.

In the hour that the show aired, it ranked #1 among boys ages 2-11, boys ages 6-11, boys ages 6-14 and was even the top original entertainment cable telecast in terms of total viewers. To date, DuckTales has accumulated nearly 50 million total views.

DuckTales airs Saturday mornings at 7 AM with back-to-back episodes on Disney XD.
