The president of Oriental Land Co. was on hand with Mickey and Minnie Mouse this morning to break ground on a series of new expansions coming to Tokyo Disneyland, the biggest addition to the Tokyo Disney Resort since the second park Tokyo DisneySea opened in 2001.

The highly-anticipated areas will include a “Beauty and the Beast” village complete with Belle’s house, the Beast’s castle, Gaston’s pub, and an as-yet-unnamed new attraction.
Also on the schedule for addition are a Minnie Mouse design studio and a “Big Hero 6” attraction in Tomorrowland, including meet-and-greet locations for both Minnie and Baymax.
Once complete in the year 2020, the new Tokyo Disneyland expansions will further enhance an already beautifully designed park.
