Walt Disney World and Maker Studios to host first-ever #DisneySide All-Star Creator Conference in January 2015

Back in March, Disney acquired Maker Studios. Now they’re going to feature that network’s YouTube celebrities in a special Walt Disney World event next year called the #DisneySide All-Star Creator Conference. (Yes, the hashtag is part of the name.)

The 4-day event will feature YouTube content creators, Thursday, January 15 through Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

The conference is intended to allow up-and-coming online stars to mix and mingle with Maker celebs while witnessing a few Disney surprises. Comedian Alphacat has the details:

It’s all under the “Disney Side” banner, which appears to be continuing well into next year.

To win a trip to the event, would-be YouTube stars are asked to upload their videos to disneysidemakercontest.com by this friday, November 28.

Back in 2013, Disneyland held a similar event in California (long before the Maker Studios purchase), showcasing a few online viral stars, including Grumpy Cat.
