For Disney Vacation Club members, Membership Magic events often provide opportunities that regular guests simply cannot access. From exclusive lounges to special park experiences, Disney has continued to expand the perks available to members. Now, a new offering is giving select DVC members the chance to enjoy Toy Story 5 (2026) before it officially arrives in theaters.

Disney Vacation Club recently announced a special advance screening event for the upcoming Pixar film that will allow eligible members to watch it before its nationwide release.

A Chance To See the Film Before Opening Day

While movie studios occasionally hold advance screenings for critics and industry professionals, this opportunity is designed specifically for Disney Vacation Club members.

The screening is scheduled for June 18, 2026, one day before Toy Story 5 (2026) opens in theaters nationwide. The event will take place at AMC Disney Springs, giving eligible members the opportunity to see the latest Pixar adventure before most audiences.

For many Disney fans, that kind of early access is a major perk. The Toy Story franchise remains one of Pixar’s most successful and beloved series, and anticipation for the fifth installment continues to grow as its release date approaches.

What Is Included With the Event?

The experience goes beyond simply watching the movie early.

Disney says attendees will receive complimentary popcorn and soft drinks during the screening. Members will also have the opportunity to enjoy the film alongside other Disney Vacation Club members, creating a more exclusive atmosphere than a typical theater showing.

These kinds of special experiences have become a growing part of Membership Magic. Over the years, Disney Vacation Club has expanded its member offerings beyond resort stays to include exclusive events, special previews, lounges, and entertainment opportunities.

For guests already staying at Walt Disney World, the screening provides another unique activity to add to their vacation plans.

Who Can Attend?

As with most Membership Magic offerings, there are eligibility requirements.

Disney has sent invitations to qualifying members who meet specific criteria. Eligible members must have a Disney Resort hotel reservation for June 18, 2026. The reservation must be booked using eligible Disney Vacation Club points or through a qualifying cash reservation.

In addition, invited members must have a home address located near Walt Disney World Resort.

Registration opens on June 9, 2026, at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Availability is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Because many Membership Magic events reach capacity quickly, interested members will likely want to register as soon as reservations become available.

Bringing Guests Along

One of the most appealing parts of the event is that members are not required to attend alone.

Disney Vacation Club members can bring up to four additional guests, creating a total party size of five people. In some cases, eligibility may also be based on the number of guests listed on the qualifying resort reservation.

That flexibility makes the event particularly attractive for families vacationing together at Walt Disney World. Parents can share the experience with their children, while groups of friends traveling together can enjoy the screening as part of their trip.

Given the family-friendly nature of the Toy Story franchise, many attendees will likely be experiencing the movie together before opening-day audiences arrive.

What Is Toy Story 5 About?

The newest chapter in Pixar’s iconic franchise reunites audiences with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the familiar toy crew.

This time, however, the toys face a challenge that reflects modern childhood. Rather than competing with other toys, they are dealing with the growing influence of technology and electronic devices that increasingly capture children’s attention.

It is a storyline that fits naturally within the themes that have defined the franchise since the beginning. The Toy Story films have long explored change, growing up, and the evolving relationship between children and the toys they love.

With Toy Story 5 (2026), Pixar appears ready to examine how those relationships continue to evolve in a technology-driven world.

Another Valuable Disney Vacation Club Perk

Events like this demonstrate how Disney Vacation Club continues to build value beyond accommodations.

While ownership benefits and resort stays remain the core of the program, Disney has increasingly focused on providing members with exclusive opportunities that cannot easily be replicated through a standard vacation package.

Advance movie screenings are a perfect example. They offer members the chance to enjoy a unique Disney experience while feeling connected to a larger community of fans.

For Pixar enthusiasts, seeing Toy Story 5 (2026) before its official release is a memorable perk. For Disney Vacation Club members lucky enough to secure a reservation, it may become one of the more exciting Membership Magic offerings of the year.

As registration opens, demand is expected to be high. After all, opportunities to visit Disney Springs, enjoy complimentary snacks, and watch one of Pixar’s biggest upcoming films before almost anyone else do not come around very often.
