A section of Disneyland Paris Resort abruptly closed on Friday, October 3, due to an unknown incident at Disneyland Park. According to a new report, Frontierland’s back has been blocked off with barricades.
Cowboy Cookout BBQ, a quick-service restaurant, and the limited-time Jack & Sally meet and greet are currently closed.
It’s unclear what prompted this closure. One guest responded to the original social media post: “I just been down there, and Cast Members are currently putting up walls and temporary foliage scrim to hide the area as well.”

Just like Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris features the same iconic lands like Frontierland, Adventureland, and Fantasyland, though guests won’t find the futuristic Tomorrowland. Instead, Disneyland Park features a unique take on this area called Discoveryland.
Here is where visitors will find the park’s version of Space Mountain, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.
Disneyland Paris features a lot of the same classic rides and attractions found at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, namely “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan’s Flight. However, Disneyland Paris also features a few unique attractions too.
One of the highlights of Disney’s European resort is Phantom Manor. While inspired by Haunted Mansion, Phantom Manor is often ranked even higher than Disney’s original dark ride, taking guests on a Western-themed ghoulish adventure.
Like Disney World, Disneyland Paris has a lot planned in the coming years. World of Frozen, the resort’s most significant upcoming expansion, is set to open in 2026. This new location, inspired by Disney’s ever-popular Frozen franchise, will be found at Walt Disney Studios Park.
However, in 2026, the park will be called Disney Adventure World. This change garnered a lot of attention and reactions from fans when it was first revealed, seemingly giving the park and Disneyland Paris as a whole more room to create IP-based rides, attractions, and experiences.
Disney Adventure World will also be the home to Disneyland Paris’ new ride based on The Lion King. More on the new ride below:
When the sun rises on the realm after the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026, an all-new water attraction will plunge guests deep into the heart of the Pride Lands at Disney Adventure World, where Simba will await them for an unforgettable adventure complete with iconic songs from Disney Animation’s 1994 masterpiece, “The Lion King.”
After making their way to the caves beneath the 120-foot-high Pride Rock, guests will take their own place in the Circle of Life when they embark on a sensational and musical adventure, moving through iconic scenes and sceneries from the beloved animated movie.
