Disney has confirmed plans to drop one particularly unpopular feature at its most divisive theme park.

Walt Disney Studios Park has weathered its fair share of criticism over the years, with guests complaining about everything from a lack of attractions (a valid point) to the park’s perceived lack of immersive theming compared to its neighboring park, Disneyland Park.

To its credit, Disney has initiated a mass makeover of the park in recent years. Not only has it debuted Paris’ version of Avengers Campus, but it’s also in the process of constructing another version of World of Frozen, with a land inspired by The Lion King (1994) also on the way.

Earlier this year, it also debuted World Premiere, a dazzling new entry area that replaced the much-maligned Studio 1.

The park’s strong point has always been its shows. The likes of Mickey and the Magician and TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure have racked up rave reviews from parkgoers. However, one of its shows has proven considerably less popular.

Disney Park’s Lackluster Show Is Finally Being Replaced

Minnie’s Musical Moment, which debuted in November, was a 12-minute “happening” that sees Minnie and her friend Jamie celebrate their friendship by playing their favourite game, ”name that song.”

Reactions to the show weren’t exactly positive. As one X, formerly known as Twitter, user remarked upon the show’s announcement, “Is this a theme park or a cruise?” Others have noted that it’s a clear sign of budget cuts, requiring fewer performers – and therefore less money – than its predecessor.

The show replaced Disney Junior Dream Factory. Aimed at a Disney Jr.-aged audience, the show premiered in 2021 after its initial 2020 premiere was delayed by the pandemic. It followed Mickey and Minnie Mouse as they try to get the Dream Factory’s dream-making machines up and running, with the pair joined by characters from the network of the same name, such as Fancy Nancy, Timon, and Vampirina.

Now, Disney has finally confirmed plans to replace the lackluster show, which ended in March.

⚠️ From February 2026, Studio D will host “Minnie’s Dream Factory”, a reworked show where Minnie will lead Daisy, Donald and Chip ‘n’ Dale on an immersive musical wonder.

Minnie’s Dream Factory will see Minnie lead Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Chip ‘n’ Dale on an “immersive musical wonder.”

This is expected to begin in February 2026.

While that’s all we know for now, fans already seem more positive about the replacement than its predecessor. As one wrote on X, “Excellent news, hoping that the show is of quality. In any case, these ‘classic’ characters are more unifying than those from Disney Channel, which are becoming unknown to a good portion of the visitors.”
