There’s never a bad time to visit the Disney theme parks, as each new season brings a number of special, limited-time holiday events, parties, and other festivities. Some of the most popular times to take a Disney vacation are during Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, all of which offer unique experiences, merchandise, and food options.

Other holidays like Easter and Thanksgiving are just as fun, with Disney World going above and beyond to make the theme parks feel special for each event.

However, summer is one of Disney’s biggest times of the year, with places like Magic Kingdom in Florida putting on a big patriotic show for the Fourth of July. This weekend, Magic Kingdom will host its fan-favorite “Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” show. This 360-degree fireworks extravaganza “dazzles the skies” high above Cinderella Castle.

The show will be held today, July 3, and Friday, July 4, 2025, at 9:20 p.m. As a result, sections of Magic Kingdom will close at 4 p.m., namely the grassy hub area located between Cinderella Castle and Casey’s Corner. A sign has been placed in front of this area notifying guests that it will close early.

The party doesn’t end at Cinderella Castle, as guests can enjoy “indepen-dance” at DJ parties happening all around the park at places like Tomorrowland and Frontierland.

EPCOT will also be hosting a nighttime event on the Fourth of July. Guests will be able to enjoy a special Fourth of July version of “Heartbeat of Freedom.” The show ends in a sparkling grand finale that pays tribute to America’s history. In addition, locations around the parks, like Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth, will be illuminated in special Fourth of July-inspired lighting.

Of course, guests will still be able to enjoy all the parks have to offer in terms of rides and attractions, as well as dining and shopping.

July also marks the opening of the latest version of Test Track. The thrill ride closed at EPCOT in 2024 for a major renovation and will reopen on July 22, complete with new scenes, effects, and theming.
