Disney World is undergoing massive changes, which will disrupt the guest experience. However, guests could not have expected what has been happening recently.

Construction is currently underway at all four of Disney World’s theme parks, and more projects are due to start soon. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom have entire lands shut down or are soon to be shut down.
Construction walls are everywhere around Disney World, but guests know that heading to the parks. But these latest disruptions are causing massive issues at the parks.
Last month, a power outage at Hollywood Studios delayed the park’s opening. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remained down for most of the morning.

Cast members later reported that the outage at Hollywood Studios was due to a planned outage that started in the overnight hours and lasted too long. Just three days before the issues at Hollywood Studios, a more extensive outage took down Magic Kingdom.
As fireworks blasted across the sky, a power outage shut down 18 rides and attractions at Magic Kingdom. The blackout trapped hundreds of guests on rides and forced cast members to scramble to get them safely off.

Just before 10 p.m., as the park was due to close, Disney restored power to all but three of the rides. However, almost a month after that incident, Disney has not announced what caused the blackout.
This weekend, a Disney park lost power for the third time in a month. On Sunday night, a portion of EPCOT went dark without explanation.
According to social media posts, the World Nature section of EPCOT went completely dark on Sunday night. The Land Pavilion, Seas Pavilion, and Journey Into Imagination with Figment were all down, and the entire land was black.

Disney World did not comment on this blackout, leaving guests to speculate about how this could’ve happened thrice a month. One guest joked, “Disney World didn’t pay their electric bill this month.”
All jokes aside, this disruption and uncertainty totally disrupt the guest experience. If this is a sign of what’s to come at Disney World, perhaps they need to reconsider future projects and invest more in their unseen infrastructure.
What do you think caused this latest blackout at Disney World?
