Universal Orlando Resort Shocks the World With ‘Flying Dragon’ Video Making Waves on Social Media

When you think of dragons and Universal Orlando Resort, you immediately think of How To Train Your Dragon or possibly Dueling Dragons. Either way, Epic Universe is bringing dragons to life in significant ways next year when the new theme park opens. Just a few months ago, Universal unveiled the latest How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk land, coming to Epic Universe in 2025.

Universal Orlando released a virtual fly-through of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, one of the five themed worlds that will be part of Epic Universe, which is set to open in 2025.
How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, as indicated by its name, is themed around the popular How to Train Your Dragon franchise and is set between the events of the second and third films. The attraction features three rides: Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a launched roller coaster produced by Intamin; Dragon Racer’s Rally, which includes two Gerstlauer Sky Fly rides; and Fyre Drill, an interactive boat ride created by Mack Rides.
The land will feature scenes and locations from the film franchise, making DreamWorks even more exciting for families looking forward to seeing Toothless and Hiccup in real life while also seeing shows, ride attractions, and so much more.
The “so much more” includes real-life dragons flying around the Central Florida skies. A new and shocking video reveals what appears to be a dragon flying above Epic Universe’s skies, hinting at how epic this new theme park will be.

Multiple people across social media are posting and sharing a few video clips showing what appears to be a dragon flying around the Epic Universe theme park location. The video clips, although short, provide what looks like a lifelike animatronic of some sort that Universal Creative is testing, perhaps? No one knows, but check out the clips for yourself below:

As you can see in the video clips above shared on social media, the dragon does appear to be lifelike, giving those unaware that this is a theme park testing out new tech a run for their money and fears.

Universal Creative is hard at work ensuring that this new theme park levels up anything anyone has seen before in Orlando or around the globe. The new lands, attractions, and experiences coming to Epic Universe will surely bring millions of people to Universal Orlando Resort.

It’s already been reported that Universal’s Epic Universe will feature some lifelike animatronics that people believe to be CGI when, in fact, they are real things built by real people.

Some other notable new features for guests will be roller coasters that seemingly jump the track and bring dragons, wizards, and video games to life. Already, many are calling Epic Universe the “Disney Killer” theme park, but others believe Disney World will be just fine once this new theme park opens.

Universal Orlando Resort’s recent testing of a lifelike dragon soaring above Central Florida signifies a bold step in its ongoing efforts to position Epic Universe as a formidable competitor to Walt Disney World.

The impressive aerial display, part of the upcoming park’s innovative attractions, highlights Universal’s commitment to creating groundbreaking experiences that rival Disney’s offerings. Scheduled to open in 2025, Epic Universe aims to raise the bar for theme parks with its immersive environments and cutting-edge technology.

The dragon’s flight, a significant technological and creative achievement, underscores Universal’s determination to make Epic Universe a game-changer in the theme park industry. By pushing the boundaries of what is possible in entertainment, Universal is enhancing the park’s allure and intensifying the competitive landscape.

This move clearly indicates that Universal is prepared to challenge Disney World’s longstanding dominance with attractions that promise to captivate and engage visitors in new and exciting ways.

As Epic Universe’s launch date approaches, the focus on high-tech, immersive experiences like the dragon display reflects Universal’s strategy to attract a broad audience and establish itself as a major player in the theme park arena. With this innovative approach, Universal Orlando Resort aims to deliver a unique and memorable experience that could potentially shift the balance of power in Central Florida’s entertainment sector.
