While many fans believed that this was the end of the road for such an iconic roller coaster, others were hopeful that the ship would come back in a new way. Now, fans are shocked to learn that Disney Imagineers are using Starcruiser to influence the design of a most likely place.

Galactic Starcruiser Kep Alive in Unusual Way

When this Disney resort hotel closed, many fans feared that it would be the end of the road for the attraction altogether. However, it now seems like that may not be the case.
DVC Cabins Get Halcyon Inspiration
This discovery began with a guest visiting the new Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Upon entering her room, this guest discovered that the style of the room seemed eerily similar to Disney’s Galactic Starcuiser. Upon further investigation, this guest received confirmation that this choice was intentional by Disney.
According to her post on X, Suzanne Szak, a Senior Interior Designer with Walt Disney Imagineering, told her that the Galactic Starcruiser was the inspiration for the bedding design. She was quoted saying:
“That was the inspiration for this bed — the Starcruiser bed — so taking the bed all the way up to the ceiling, having that dramatic moment of the large mural on the background.”

This surprising inclusion is a well-received non to the now-fallen Star Wars hotel.
