Disney's Full Polynesian Resort Renovation Unveiled!

Now that the Monorail station has reopened and the construction equipment is starting to disappear, the year-long renovation of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort seems to finally be (almost) officially complete.

At the time of the original refurbishment announcement in 2020, Disney shared:

“As we continue to reopen additional Disney Resort hotels to Guests, we are modifying the reopening date for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort which will reopen next summer. This schedule adjustment also allows us to complete some refurbishment work at the Resort hotel, including enhancements to the Great Ceremonial House and Guest rooms. We expect work to begin in early October and look forward to sharing more about these changes in the future. The Villas and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will remain open during this refurbishment.”

The major overhaul of the Disney Deluxe Resort included the addition of Moana-themed rooms featuring characters like Moana herself, Maui the demigod, Pua the pig, and Hei Hei the chicken.

Now, Twitter user Bioreconstruct has given Walt Disney World Resort Guests a glimpse of the newly redesigned exterior areas at the Polynesian Resort, including the new entryway where visitors walk into their tropical oasis:

Another redecorated area allows Guests to get some R&R while they wait for Disney World buses or other forms of transportation:
