One Disney park is experiencing lengthy lines this October, with waits exceeding 600 minutes.

Halloween is one of the busiest times of year at Disney parks, with seasonal decorations, limited-time entertainment, and exclusive merchandise drawing huge crowds. Guests also flock to popular attractions, particularly those with Halloween overlays, while increased demand during weekends and school holidays can push wait times well beyond their usual levels.

Special events add to the crowds. For example, Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party draws guests eager to meet rare characters, collect candy at trick-or-treat stations, and watch exclusive parades and fireworks. Popular character meet-and-greets and themed photo opportunities can attract long queues, with some guests waiting for hours to meet their favorites.

At one Disney park, a queue can take as long as 10 hours this spooky season.

Guests hoping to meet LinaBell in October should be prepared to stand for a long time.

LinaBell is a pink fox who belongs to Disney’s Duffy and Friends franchise. First introduced at Shanghai Disneyland in September 2021, she is known for her curious personality, love of solving mysteries, and signature magnifying glass. Unlike most Disney characters, LinaBell doesn’t originate from a film or television series.

Topiary sculptures of Disney characters, shaped as a green bear with a purple flower on its head holding a ring, and another green bear wearing a blue scarf, are displayed in front of a Disney castle surrounded by gardens and vibrant yellow flowers.

This Halloween, LinaBell meets guests in a red, fur-trimmed coat over a purple-and-yellow striped dress, complete with a miniature top hat decorated with a spiderweb, pumpkin, and white feather.

According to @Wells_1983, the wait for LinaBell hit 620 minutes on October 17, 2026.

That’s longer than 10 hours waiting in Friendship Point to meet the pink fox. For context, the character’s meet-and-greet runs from 8:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

With demand for LinaBell’s meet-and-greet running so high, Shanghai Disneyland has several rules in place to manage crowds and keep interactions running smoothly. Guests are instructed to follow cast members’ directions, while queues may close early depending on capacity and operational conditions.

Disney also asks guests to keep their interactions with LinaBell brief so more visitors have the opportunity to meet her. Physical affection should be gentle, while guests are limited to one autograph per character. Selfie sticks are also prohibited during meet-and-greets.

Shanghai Disneyland has previously experienced extraordinary demand for Duffy and Friends merchandise.

Shanghai Disneyland has previously experienced enormous queues for Duffy and Friends merchandise. In March 2024, guests reportedly waited up to eight hours at Sweetheart Confectionery to purchase new Duffy and CookieAnn backpacks. Some visitors allegedly fainted, while others attempted to rush the store, prompting Disney to summon security.

The backpacks eventually sold out, while online reservations for the queue reportedly disappeared within minutes. Some reservations were subsequently resold for 300 to 500 yuan ($42 to $69). Shanghai Disneyland later promised to improve operations and introduce measures to tackle unauthorized merchandise reselling.

This lengthy wait comes as Shanghai Disneyland celebrates Halloween with a packed schedule of seasonal entertainment. This year’s festivities run from October 4 through November 1, 2026, with special character appearances, themed decorations, exclusive merchandise, and limited-time food and drinks available throughout the resort.

Disney villains play a major role in the celebrations. Guests can encounter Captain Jack Sparrow during Treasure Cove: Buccaneer Bash, while The Villains’ Club brings more familiar Disney antagonists to Tomorrowland. Mickey and Friends also appear in special Halloween costumes, alongside Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in Zootopia.

The resort is also hosting 10 Halloween Spook-tacular Days, including October 17, when LinaBell’s lengthy queue was reported. These dates feature additional entertainment, including Donald’s Mischievous Treat Party, appearances by Jack Skellington and Sally, and a nighttime Disney villains castle projection show.
