For one day later this month, guests won’t have to wonder.
Disney is bringing back a tradition that completely removes the randomness from Cosmic Rewind’s soundtrack. And this year, the celebration is getting a little bigger with more than just a musical change aboard the attraction.
Cosmic Rewind Is Changing Its Soundtrack for One Day
Instead of rotating between the attraction’s normal selection of six songs, every ride will feature “September.”
The connection isn’t difficult to figure out.
One of the song’s most famous lyrics references the 21st night of September, giving Disney a perfect excuse to build an annual Cosmic Rewind tradition around the date.
This isn’t the first time Disney has done it, either.
The attraction has featured “September” exclusively on September 21 for the last three years. Disney will continue that tradition again in 2026, meaning guests visiting EPCOT that day can essentially guarantee they’ll experience the attraction with the Earth, Wind & Fire song.
For anyone who has repeatedly ridden Cosmic Rewind hoping to get “September” without any luck, this could be the day to finally make it happen.
Cosmic Rewind Normally Keeps Guests Guessing
The special setup is very different from what guests normally experience aboard Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
On a regular day, the attraction randomly selects from six different songs.
Those tracks include “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Conga” by Gloria Estefan, “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls, and “One Way or Another” by Blondie.
Guests can’t choose their song before boarding.
That means two people could ride at different times and come away with slightly different experiences. Someone might hear “Conga,” while another group gets “September.”

The limited-time drink will only be available for that day, giving guests another exclusive offering connected to the annual tradition.
