Disney has released a special hotel discount exclusively for eligible Disney Visa Cardmembers, offering savings of up to 30% on select Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms during the first several months of 2027.
The promotion covers stays from early January through late April, although the exact discount depends on the hotel, room type, and travel dates.
There is also an additional perk built specifically around longer vacations. Cardmembers staying five nights or more can receive discounts on select Friday and Saturday nights during part of January and February.
For Disney Visa Cardmembers already considering a 2027 Walt Disney World vacation, this could turn into one of the more valuable perks available to them.
Disney Visa Cardmembers Can Save Up to 30%
The biggest discount included in the promotion is 30% off select Walt Disney World hotel rooms.
Disney is offering that maximum discount for stays on most nights from February 28 through April 29, 2027.
That gives Cardmembers roughly two months to take advantage of the largest savings, including trips during March and much of April.
Guests traveling earlier in the year can still receive a substantial discount.
For stays on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25, 2027, eligible Disney Visa Cardmembers can save 25% on rooms included in the highest discount category.
The promotion becomes particularly interesting because many of Disney World’s more expensive hotels fall into this group.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are among the participating properties.
Several Disney Vacation Club accommodations also qualify, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House and Kidani Village, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Select rooms at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Disney’s Old Key West Resort are included as well.
Because Deluxe Resort rooms can carry some of the highest nightly rates at Walt Disney World, receiving 30% off could translate into a substantial reduction over a multi-night vacation.
Longer Trips Get Another Disney Visa Perk
The promotion has another important component that Disney Visa Cardmembers should know about.
The early 2027 discount is generally stronger during the week, but Disney has added a special benefit for Cardmembers who stay five nights or longer.
For hotels in the highest discount category, eligible Cardmembers can save 20% on rooms for stays most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 through February 27, 2027, as long as the stay is at least five nights.
That’s important because weekend nights can make it difficult to maximize a promotion built primarily around Sunday through Thursday stays.
Instead of having to structure an entire vacation around weekdays, Disney Visa Cardmembers taking longer trips have another opportunity to receive discounted rates across eligible weekend nights.
For a family planning a traditional weeklong Disney World vacation, that added benefit could make the promotion considerably more useful.
Another Group of Resorts Gets Up to 25% Off
Not every participating Disney Resort qualifies for the maximum 30% savings.
A second collection of hotels and room categories comes with discounts of up to 25%.
Cardmembers can save 25% on eligible rooms for stays on most nights from February 28 through April 29, 2027.
For stays earlier in the year, the discount drops to 20% on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25.
The special longer-stay benefit applies here as well.
Disney Visa Cardmembers staying five nights or more can save 15% on eligible rooms for most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 through February 27.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside are among the accommodations in this group.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Family Suites also qualify, along with Resort View Rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
That gives Cardmembers options across several different resort categories instead of restricting the promotion to Disney’s highest-priced hotels.
Value Resort Guests Can Save Up to 20%
Disney Visa Cardmembers looking for a less expensive hotel aren’t being left out either.
Several Value Resort accommodations qualify for savings of up to 20%.
Cardmembers can save 20% on eligible rooms for stays most nights from February 28 through April 29, 2027.
For earlier visits, guests can save 15% on most Sunday through Thursday nights from January 3 through February 25.
Those booking vacations of at least five nights can also save 10% on most Friday and Saturday nights from January 8 through February 27.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort are included in this tier.
Standard rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort also qualify, along with Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Standard Location Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
While a 20% discount isn’t as large as the maximum 30% offer, it can still make a meaningful difference over a multi-night vacation.
For example, if an eligible room hypothetically cost $250 per night, a 20% discount would represent $50 in savings each night. Over five nights, that would equal $250 before considering taxes or other charges.
Actual savings will depend on Disney’s room rates, dates, availability, and the accommodations selected.
There Are Requirements for Using the Disney Visa Discount
Disney Visa Cardmembers will need to meet a few requirements before taking advantage of the promotion.
The Cardmember must use a Disney Visa Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay the deposit. The qualifying Cardmember must also stay in the room.
Guests should also pay close attention to the phrase “up to 30%.”
The maximum discount doesn’t apply to every hotel, room type, or date included in the promotion. Disney has divided participating accommodations into different discount categories, meaning one resort might receive 30% off while another receives 25% or 20%.
Availability will also matter.
Some room categories aren’t included at all.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is excluded from the promotion, along with The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Other exclusions include The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort, campsites, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and all three-bedroom villas.
Certain accommodations at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are excluded as well, including Bungalows, one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas, and Penthouses.
Guests should check the exact room category rather than assuming that every accommodation at a participating resort qualifies.
Disney Visa Cardmembers Should Compare Resorts Before Booking
This is where the new Disney Visa perk could become particularly useful.
Disney World hotel prices vary considerably, and so do the discounts included in this offer. Cardmembers shouldn’t necessarily assume that their usual resort will provide the best value.
A hotel receiving a 30% discount could potentially become much closer in price to a less expensive resort receiving only 20% or 25% off.
Travel dates could make a similar difference.
The biggest savings begin February 28, when the maximum discount increases to 30% at select properties. Guests with flexible schedules may want to compare a late-February vacation against an early-March trip before making their final decision.
Longer stays deserve extra attention too.
Disney specifically added savings for eligible Friday and Saturday nights between January 8 and February 27 when Cardmembers stay five nights or more. That could make a longer vacation more attractive than it initially appears when comparing discounted room rates.
For anyone who already carries a Disney Visa, there’s little reason to ignore the offer when pricing out an early 2027 trip.
Disney World hotel stays can represent a significant portion of the overall vacation budget, particularly for guests staying at Deluxe Resorts or Disney Vacation Club accommodations.
Getting 20%, 25%, or as much as 30% off an eligible room could potentially keep hundreds of dollars in a family’s vacation budget, depending on the regular nightly rate and length of stay.
